<p><strong>Main Duties and Responsibilities:<strong/></p><div><ul><li><p><span>Procuring direct commodity materials for our plants located across the USA.</span></p></li><li>Negotiating pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, confidentiality agreements, engineering requirements, and other items as required with suppliers.</li><li>Supporting the launch of new programs (i.e. for our Fuel Cell and Battery Technology activities) and business quotes with purchased material costs.</li><li>Identifying suppliers for new business and review their capabilities per engineering requirements.</li><li>Responsible execution of the complete purchasing process for local sourcing projects from our plants&#39; demands to RFQs and to the supplier nomination proposals.</li><li>Providing sourcing recommendations which align with strategic goals.</li><li>Evaluating supplier performance.</li><li>Supporting the internal teams for cost reduction</li><li>Be an active part of development, implementation and execution of global sourcing strategies in cross-functional teams.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:<strong/></p><ul><li><span>Completed degree (Bachelor or Master) in the field of Economics, Industrial Engineering or in a comparable field or equivalent combination of education and experience. </span></li><li><span>At least 3 years of experience in a similar function or in supply chain management in the Automotive Industry. </span></li><li><span>Good knowledge of purchasing processes, contract management and </span><span>strategic purchasing.</span></li><li>Ability to interpret and communicate technical drawings and specifications.</li><li>Familiar with a range of manufacturing processes, such as metal forming and plastic injection molding</li><li>Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers.</li><li><span>Experience in working with SAP and MS Office.</span></li><li><span>Spanish language skills are a plus. </span></li></ul></div><div></div><p>Here at ElringKlinger, we value our flat hierarchies, open culture of communication, and our attractive prospects for career advancement.
