Chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel visited the booth of ElringKlinger AG as part of her introductory tour of the IAA Motor Show. CEO Dr. Stefan Wolf showed the Chancellor two pioneering products developed by the Dettingen-based company within the area of e-mobility.
Together with Matthias Wissmann, President of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), Volker Bouffier, State Premier of Hesse, and Alexander Dobrindt, Federal Minister of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, Chancellor Merkel was able to see for herself how well ElringKlinger has positioned itself within a rapidly changing automotive industry. One of the products presented to her was a battery module manufactured by the company and supplied to customers as an end-to-end solution. Dr. Merkel was also shown a low-temperature fuel cell stack, supplied by ElringKlinger to OEMs, as further proof of the company's commitment to actively driving forward and refining this specific line of drive technology.
"We are delighted that Chancellor Merkel visited us as part of her introductory tour of the IAA and took a personal interest in our innovative solutions within the field of alternative drive technology. Be it hybrid systems, electric drives, or fuel cells, ElringKlinger offers solutions for tomorrow's mobility needs," says Dr. Stefan Wolf.
