BU Regional Business Development Specialist 2E

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Regional responsibility for scouting, recognizing, analyzing and evaluating innovations, technologies and technology trends as well as corresponding potentials across all customers in cooperation with the Regional Sales Accounts as well as the BU Director Business Development
  • Initiating and ensuring the implementation of the further development of the product group strategy within the business objective of the BU, taking into account the requirements and developments of the respective region
  • Supporting customer meetings and communication in coordination with Regional Sales Accounts (or at request of customers or Director Business Development)
  • Responsible in the development of the local product  &market strategy, ensuring the implementation and controlling of specific local sales goals with the Key Accounts in accordance with Target Commitment Sales (GSPT)
  • Coordinating and prioritization of all local acquisition activities for the product groups in the BU
  • Supporting the preparation of offers by local Key Account in cooperation with the other units/departments of the BU as well as supporting the definition of the negotiation strategy
  • Representation and decision-making authority for the BU in customer negotiations (if required by the customer, the BU or the DSGA) in coordination with the Director Business Development
  • Defining strategic lower price limits and risk surcharges for bid projects in coordination with the Director Business Development
  • Supporting the RePa process in coordination with the Director Business Development
  • Providing product documents for the regional sales accounts as well as general information of the organization and representing the BU at conferences and with customer

    Qualification:

    • Completed Bachelor or Master degree
    • At least 5 years professional experience in automotive industry within a fast-paced and international environment
    • Experience in working with main OEMs in the market
    • 2 to 3 years’ experience in the field of plastic injection molding and structural components is preferred (metal plastic hybrid, composite hybrids, Cross Car Beams, “Dash Boards”)
    • Good team player
    • Mobility (travel activities)
    • Fluent English
    • Project management, problem solving, conflict-solving ability and good communication skills
    • Goal and success orientation
    • Customer and market orientation
