On January 4, 2010, Deutsche Börse introduced a new 30-member index to track the performance of exchange-listed family companies – the DAXplus Family 30 index.
To be included in the index, the family which set up the company must hold at least 25% of the voting rights or be represented on the management or supervisory board and then hold at least 5% of the voting rights.
Deutsche Börse AG selected the 30 largest German and international companies from the 113 companies listed in the Prime Standard segment on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. ElringKlinger was given an initial index weighting of 1.5%.
