Prime Standard

Admission to the Prime Standard is a prerequisite for the inclusion in the DAX, MDAX, TecDAX or SDAX indices.

The new regulations concerning market segmentation of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange came into effect on January 1, 2003. While the General Standard encompasses the minimum statutory requirements relating to the Official Market or the Regulated Market, companies listed within the Prime Standard are, in addition, required to fulfil significant international transparency requirements, such as quarterly reporting, the application of internationally accepted reporting standards (IFRS or US-GAAP) and at least one analysts' meeting per annum. ElringKlinger AG was granted the requisite approval; its shares have been traded within the Prime Standard of Deutsche Börse in Frankfurt since March 12, 2003.
