Education

Studied law and business administration in Bonn, Munich and Cologne.

Professional career

As from 1971, Karl Uwe van Husen worked in various roles for the Lechler Group of companies in Germany and abroad, including Chairman/CEO of Elring Dichtungswerke GmbH. In 1991 he assumed the additional role of sole director of ZWL Grundbesitz- und Beteiligungs-AG, Ludwigsburg. Mr. van Husen was appointed Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ElringKlinger AG from 1999 to 2004. He is still a member of the Supervisory Board and the Personnel Committee as well as Chairman of the Audit Committee. In addition, Mr. van Husen manages the Family Office of the Lechler family.
