Education

Trained as a mechanic with Nagel GmbH in Nürtingen.

Professional career

Mr. Wick was employed as a mechanic from 1976 to 1993 for Nagel GmbH. In 1993 he was elected Works Council Chairman. Mr. Wick then moved to IG Metall in Geislingen and was Union Secretary there until the end of May 2009. From early June 2009, Mr. Wick worked in the district directorate of IG Metall in Stuttgart as Union Secretary responsible for collective bargaining. Gerhard Wick was appointed to the Supervisory Board of ElringKlinger AG in 2010.
